Albert M. Ricci, born February 21, 1918, died peacefully Monday evening, September 10, 2007, in the Community Hospital of San Bernardino, California. A longtime resident of Gloversville, he was residing with his wife of 66 years, Rose, at the Rock Springs Retirement Community in Apple Valley, California.

Joseph V. Sitterly, 59, of Moyer Street, Canajoharie, NY, died Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown after a brief illness.

Audrey J. Perham


Mrs. Audrey J. Perham, 74, of Gloversville, died Sunday at her residence. Mrs. Perham was born August 12, 1933 in Gloversville, daughter of the late Roland and Arlene Cooker Buyce Sr. She was educated in Gloversville schools and employed for many years as a cashier and manager of the sundries at Price Chopper markets. Audrey was a long time blood donor and enjoyed crafts. Her greatest joy was being with family and friends. Audrey is survived by her daughters, Lori Towne and Wendy Perham, both of Gloversville. She is also survived by a sister, Linda Kichton and a brother, Harry Buyce, both of Mayfield; a grandson, Matthew Towne; and a great-granddaughter, Kassidy Towne; nieces; nephews and cousins. Mrs. Perham was predeceased by her husband, James E. Perham in 1985; and a brother, Roland Buyce Jr.

Robert M. Fratangelo “Rob,” 75, of South Market St., Johnstown, died Saturday, Sept. 22, at Wells Nursing Home in Johnstown. 

Harold B. Henry


Harold B. Henry, 83, of East Clinton St., Johnstown, passed away Friday, September 21, 2007 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Gloversville on March 20, 1924, he was the son of Richard and Gertrude (Meyer) Henry. Harold worked as a box-cutter for 39 years at J.W. Sissons Box Co. in Gloversville. He retired from the Greater Johnstown School District as a custodian. Harold was a WW II POW veteran. He served as grand marshal of the Memorial Day Parade in Johnstown for several years. He was a member and past commander of American Legion Post No. 472. He also visited schools to teach students and children about the importance of the United States flag. Harold was very active in the community. He formed “Hank’s Wildcats” Baseball Team in Gloversville. He was active in the Johnstown Reformed Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. He also enjoyed cooking and loved his family and many friends.

Elizabeth Fountain Seelow, age 58, of Broadalbin, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at the Mountain Valley Hospice House, Gloversville, after a long illness.
